Devops Singapore Meetup #17: Failure: A love story

Presenter: Tom Sulston, Thoughtworks

Failure: A love story. Like many other walks of life, the software industry doesn't like failure. Yet there's plenty of it about. Why? And why do we deal with it so badly?

This session uses examples of high-profile failures in our industry (and some from my own career) to determine common root causes. From these, a discussion on how fear of failure exacerbated the issues and caused the whole project to fail.
You'll learn tips on how to embrace failure, so that we can use it to prevent future high-profile, expensive project disasters.

Good talk with some great anecdotes. Not sure it was a love story though!
