Tamás Blummer, founder of Bits of Proof (http://bitsofproof.com/) will talk about the technology of Bitcoin and how it enables new business models beyond payments.

Bitcoin solves an ancient mathematical problem with brute force, thereby creating a globally distributed ledger of transactions stored in the memory of a peer-to-peer network. The technology induces changes to finance and the society as whole, since it creates a truly global currency, that is not the debt of anyone and is not inflatable by local authorities. Bitcoin enables free and fair trade over the internet, eliminating the middle man currently taking tall of global trade and excluding majority of earth's population from access to financial services.

The presentation focuses on the distributed technology that enables scalable, safe and transparent transactions of Bitcoin, and will also provide examples of Bitcoin's usage, and how it will change financial services.
