DFW Pythoneers 2nd Saturday Teaching Meeting

Details
Welcome. We're a friendly group for those who program using the Python language as well as those wanting to learn it. We try hard to be beginner friendly as well as cover advanced material.
At our Saturday afternoon meetings we set up a projector for presentations, code reviews of projects and demonstrations of useful add-on packages. We often pass the plug to the projector around for members to share what they are working on or to get help with their code. Our sessions are very hands-on so bring your laptops so you can participate. We have wired and wireless Internet access at our meetings.
Not every meeting has a formal presentation, and because our sessions are 3-hours long, we like to mix it up with different topics. One way of doing so is for members to step forward and give short, 5-minute talks called lightning talks. Relax, the format is casual and not intended to cover a topic but to introduce it to the attendees or show off something you're working on. They're a lot of fun and stimulate ideas for future talks. Please think about a topic and come prepared. It could be an simple as just announcing this cool Python library you found on some website one day. Look thru your bookmarks for ideas.
Our sessions run until 5 pm and then we often go out for dinner as a group. Our club wiki page can be found at www.dfwpython.org (http://www.dfwpython.org/). Feel free to edit it, perhaps adding a topic of interest to you. We also have a version control repository (based on Subversion) that anyone is welcome to use for their projects, and a mailing list separate from the Python meetup.com forum to which you can subscribe. Details are on the wiki.
