What we’re about

Our group is for Type 1 Diabetics of all ages in the New York City area who are non-pump and pump users and for the important people in our lives. We get together at local restaurants, parks, and other interesting places and talk about life and life as Type 1 diabetics, and share tips, secrets, war stories, life stories, and life. Usually, we get together during the week -- dinner at a hopefully moderately priced restaurant.
Our "sessions" are very informal -- just a group of old and new friends having a good meal together. There is no cost to join our group, other than your share of the check at our meet-ups.

Group leadership:
Co-Organizers: Anne Torselius, Lucy Pacius, Howard Halligan
Organizer Emeritus: Jonathan Olick

Also, please note that our group is for friendship and support for T1s. Please do not seek to join if your intent is to use our group to market your products or services -- even if you are a T1 or family member of a T1. Prospective members are asked to answer a small number of questions about themselves. We would like to confirm if any new members are T1 or a family members of a T1 and are New York residents, there is no point in membership if you are not going to be able to be there in person).

Note: Cancellations will only be accepted if they are 24 hours before the scheduled event or an emergency. Same-day cancellations or no-shows will be noted, and if repeated, you will be removed from the group. You will be contacted and warned after the 2nd time.
