I spent two months teaching English in Costa Rica, and I loved going dancing every weekend. My grandmother is from Panama, so my first exposure to salsa came from her and my dad. I had some skill in the movement, steps, and rhythm of salsa, but I was clueless as to how to couple dance; I was a terrible follower in other words. In Costa Rica, through constantly going out to dance, I definitely improved in that capacity. Not to mention I was so impressed by the fact the men actually knew how to dance, which is the opposite of most guys I have known in the US. Now that I'm home, I REALLY miss all the dancing and the club scene just doesn't cut it for me. I am so excited to be a part of something like this!
ABSOLUTELY! Para siempre!
Hi my name is Sharrae, I'm 22 years old and I am studying international politics and history at Vanderbilt. I will salsa anytime, anywhere, and I'm glad I found a group in Nashville that feels the same!
