We are focused on the talking about the best methods of digital data desturuction with a minor focus on non-digital data.
The group was created out of a concern that many companies do not know what the best methods are or in some cases, some data destruction companies are simply not following the best standards: DoD, NSA and NIST.
This is for anyone who is responsible for the technical and legal protection of client data and their business. This can be computer techs, attorneys, politicians, state officials, hospitals, nursing homes, businesses that store credit card information or social security numbers- which is nearly everyone!
We typically pick a subtopic around digital data destruction. I will initially do a presentation with room for questions during and after the meeting. If you have any questions or doubts about how to process your retired computers/equipment and hard disks and tapes be sure to come! All are welcome!
What members are saying
“ Others may want to join to get on the fast track to understand how to best retire their old systems and their old digital data. ”
