Chicago: Art and Architecture Tour

Join us in Chicago for a 4-day instructional photography tour of art, architecture, and the fabulous Chicago skyline. As of April 23rd, we are a "go" for this tour and we are excited to be going!

• Architectural Boat Tour of Chicago
• Buckingham Fountain & Grant Park
• Willis (Sears) Tower
• Millennium Park, including Cloud Gate (the Bean) and Crown Fountain
• Navy Pier at night with Fireworks
• Chicago Skyline/Adler Planetarium
• Art Institute of Chicago
• Chicago Riverfront

Techniques

We will focus on a wide range of creative photography techniques, including:

• Composition and lens choice
• Close-ups
• Twilight/Blue Hour/Night Photography
• Long Exposures & Motion Blur Techniques
• Digital Infrared
• High Dynamic Range (HDR)
• Multiple Exposures
• Cinemagraphs and time-lapse videos

Each participant will receive an assignment list and there will be informal critique sessions every afternoon.

*Workshop Instructional Fee: $1199 per photographer
The workshop fee includes all field and classroom instruction, and critique sessions with Deborah and Jason, and tickets for the architectural boat tour of Chicago.

Transportation, meals, and lodging are not included with the workshop fee. Many of the locations are within walking distance of the group hotel.

Lodging
We have arranged for a discounted block of rooms at the group hotel. Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations. We will send you the hotel discount information after you register for the workshop. Participants must reserve their rooms by July 18, 2015 to receive the discounted rate.

Special Note: Please refrain from booking any non-refundable travel, such as airfare, until we contact you directly. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for any non-refundable items associated with this trip.

Non-Participants
Field and classroom sessions are limited to participants only. Due to the small nature of this tour, we do not offer a "non-photographer" option.

Deposit/Refund Policy

• Deposits are non-refundable.
• Tuition balance is due 90 days prior to the workshop date

Refund Policy

• In the event the workshop is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

• If you cancel 89-30 days from workshop date: 50% of tuition balance

• If you cancel <30 days from workshop: tuition is not refundable
