Let's head to Dolphin for HV Restaurant Week - in Yonkers!

Let's head to the Dolphin Restaurant in Yonkers on Saturday Nov 17th -- EARLY -- we're seated at 5:15pm -- so we can all go to the concert at the Bezak Center down the street which starts at 7pm.

Dolphin Restaurant Bar Lounge is a unique Waterfront Seafood Restaurant with an eclectic menu featuring Mediterranean, Italian, French and Asian influences. We specialize in fresh seafood, raw bar, pasta, steaks, specialty drinks and wine. The restaurant has a large outdoor gardenlike seating area consisting of 100 seats overlooking the Palisades and Hudson River. The interior of restaurant can accommodate up to 200 people with multiply dining rooms, an upstairs private party room and a lush lounge/wine bar area.

Comments by some diners include: "Friends wanted to try this place so we went for lunch. Must say it was quite delicious. I had the whole wheat linguine with shrimp, clams and mussels with a light tomato sauce. So good! Friends had the mussels and a pesto chicken sandwich. We all said we'd come back soon. The cappachino was also perfect."

Another says, "Adjacent to the old ferry dock (sorry, no boats anymore) and steps away from the Metro-North / Amtrak station, this stylish restaurant really surprised us. The food was great, especially the seafood salad which was brimming with delicious scallops, squid, mussels and shrimp. The Tiramisu was extraordinary. Service was good and prices were more than reasonable.

And one more, "Dolphin is definitely at the top on my list of favorites! The atmosphere is very nice; that includes the decor (chic & classy), the location (waterfront with outdoor seating) nice music ( sets the tone at just the right pitch) and flat screen TV's well placed to view... It's laid back enough to feel comfortable when more casually dressed yet vogue enough to encourage your tastier sense of style. The food is absolutely out of this world and the menu includes a wide assortment of dishes to satisfy anyone. Prices are very reasonable.

Course 1

New England Clam Chowder - Classic Chowder with fresh clams, potatoes, celery in a creamy sauce

Creamy Garlic Mussels- Sautéed with garlic, shallots, white wine and cream

Mozzarella Caprese Salad- Homemade fresh mozzarella, sliced tomato, roast pepper with pesto and balsamic glaze

Classic Caesar Salad - Fresh hearts of romaine, garlic croutons, shaved parmigiano in a caesar dressing

Tuscan Meatballs - Ground beef and veal meatballs in a plump marinara sauce with garlic toast points

Baked Clams - Baked littleneck clams in mixed house breadcrumbs, parsley in velvety butter sauce

Course 2

Short Rib Ravioli - Sautéed with shredded short rib, peas, wild mushroom in a brandy porcini mushroom sauce

Whole Wheat Linguine Mixed Seafood - Shrimp, clams and mussels in a lite tomato sauce over whole wheat pasta

Chicken Portabella - Sautéed chicken breast with portabella mushrooms, garlic, shallots sweet marsala wine sauce

Argentinean Skirt Steak - Worcestershire marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri sauce

Potato Crusted Salmon - Atlantic salmon filet with a julienned potato pancake crust in a lemon caper beurre blanc

Spicy Wasabi Tuna - Cajun seared yellow fin tuna over a ginger sesame slaw with wasabi vinaigrette

We've been here before during Restaurant week, and I"ve eaten here many more times after that.. the owner is friendly and often comes around with their home-made annisette for a quick shot...  this should be fun and enjoyable and all for three courses at $29.95~

I've made a reservation for ten, at 5:15pm, but can increase if we need to..  Please get there around 4:45 so we can be seated promptly..
