Ive been in touch with Vik and spent plenty of time on his site and his site is just what the group needed. Most of us at one point or another end up wanting tix or needing to sell them. Craigslist can be a pain in the ass at the best of times (refresh much) - and while emailing members through the site is an excellent idea - this works just as well.
Do check out the site - and I highly recommend using it and telling friends. On that note - more than likely I will have an extra to Local Natives if not 2. Check the site if youre interested in a few days..... - Rachel
Attn: Members of the Britpop/Indie Meetup!
My name is Vik Panda, and I am member of this Meetup & a fellow music fan.
I have recently launched a website called YouHaveIWant, a real-time matching exchange. I am telling you about this because it makes buying and selling tickets from other people much easier and faster than other old-fashioned classifeds sites, which have always frustrated me (and probably many of you). When you are looking to buy or sell something (tickets or otherwise) on YHIW, all you need to do is post a short-message (140 characters or less) 'Have' or 'Want,' and we keep searching for you until we find your match. You'll never need to repeatedly search and post again! If you are both on the site at the same time, you can IM, otherwise, you can email each other via our site. Either way, your identity is kept private until you decide to meet your match.
An even cooler thing is that you can email a 'Have' or 'Want.' This means that if you have email capabilities on your phone, you can be waiting outside of a show and connect with people there who may be looking to also buy or sell tickets. All you need to do is put the name of the band who is playing, and we'll find your match.
We have a lot of other awesome things in the pipeline to make connecting with people who are buying & selling tickets much easier, which we plan to unveil pretty soon. I really hope you give YouHaveIWant a try and also share your feedback as well as experiences with the site. You guys are a big reason why YouHaveIWant exists, and I hope to improve it to help you get what you want.
