Hi everybody I'm stuck learning Django again. This time I wanted to learn how to calculate things in View and send the result to Template in a forloop list.

But I can't figure out how to work with my existing Queryset "articles" with my "publication_per_article" list. I'm having difficulty finding easy examples to learn from on google.

    Publicists_coverage table field

In template I need to somehow blend my existing Queryset "articles" together with "publicists_coverage" list in the same forloop line.
But since these two are incompatible types I'm not sure how to proceed with this problem.

Can somebody show me the best practice to do calculations in View/Template?

By the way, I think your question a bit off topic in this event discussion. Your better of posting in our forum or in the official Django users group instead

I'm running a tad bit late. Is there someone still down at the reception? Worst case I'll be there 18:05

TriOptima will order food. Please confirm your spot by entering your name into this google form. This also applies to those of you on the waiting list. I will remove unconfirmed guests from the list at 13:00 on Wednesday and fill them with people from the waiting list.

Hi everybody, I've been struggling with learning and understanding how to make Django database API and View do what I want it to do.

I find it difficult to explain my problems using forums, mailing lists and IRC since my understanding of MVC/MTV is very limited.

So I'm wondering if anybody offers consulting services that I can purchase? Where I can sit down for 2+ hours or so and explain what I'm trying to achieve.
And have somebody explain to me what I'm doing wrong and coach me what I need to study deeper to fix my "kunskapsluckor".

Please feel free to email me regarding your pricing fees and how your consulting services works.

My code and project is basically 97% an exact copy of this Django tutorial.

      Hi ilian! :)

      This is my ERD-diagram:

If I want to list every field from table "Word" which is the only thing that I've managed to do so far. Can I also sort this list based on a field from a different table "Altword" using Django's database API?

Or can this only be done using raw SQL?

Filter 5 is the closest I got using Django's database API. I just can't manage to sort the list based on the field Votes from the other table "Altword".

I have been stuck with this problem for almost 1 year. (>_<)

My main focus now is experiments on Filter 5 and Filter 8.

I got some help at Django mailinglist. Problem solved! :)
