What are you hoping to find here? New friends? New players? To join a new group? To learn how to play? Meet others who still use their imagination?

I'm looking for players and games. I love to play more than DM. But since I'm good at DM'ing its what I usually wind up doing.

Favorite sci-fi/fantasy movie/TV show/book? Favorite sci'fi/fantasy character?

Movie- Star Trek 2; TV show- Battlestar Galactica (new series); Book- Any Star Wars book; Character- Elric (the TRUE etrnalchampion)

Do you DM? If so, do you write your own adventures or use modules? Do you follow the rules as written, or do you "go with the flow"?

I write my own stories. Sometimes I will take scenes from old modules but usually its all my own stuff. I usually try to follow the rules. If one seems to be to strict I'll cut it out but I try not to.

Do you have a favorite setting for adventures (pirates, dungeons, space ships, chicken coops, haunted houses)? How long have you been playing? What edition do you prefer? Do you prefer hack 'n slash? Intricate stories? Riddles? Mysteries? Quests?

Seafaring campaign! I like being privateer!!! I've been playing for over 30 years. I like a lot of role-playing with a good storyline.

Weirdest character name you've run across (or used)? Weirdest choice for a familiar?

Glad-E-Ate-Er and yes he was a gladiator. ALSO Had a pig named of course PorkChop. Which actually an ancient gold dragon that was supposed to accompany us as a horse or mule. My DM had a sense of humor so PorkChop the "portable bbq" was born

I have played pretty much everything from D&D to Star Frontiers. To Star Wars to Robotech. I DM D&D & I also GM a Star Wars campaign. So any interested players or GM's hit me back and we'll set up a game.

What Ryan is saying about this Meetup Group

Wish more showed up but it was fun as he@# hearing and telling old D&D stories.
