Kayak Guide,Swim Lessons,Lifeguarding,RescueSwimr/WFR Trng, Daily, Anywhere, USA

  • Mar 17, 2013 · 7:00 PM

These are private lessons & water rescue training.  They are NOT free and may be located anywhere according to agreed upon dates/times/locations/costs.  I have already had a request to teach a recert lifeguarding class.  Any more looking to re-cert their lifeguard training? (American Red Cross).  I am a certified Instructor of every Water Related Water Rescue course that the Red Cross offers + First Responder (Emergency Response, DOT course).

These are suggested dates/times/locations for private lessons.  Actual dates/times/locations will have to be set up between instructor/client.  I will be there randomly during the posted dates/times/locations but if you want to make sure of my presence... text me!  and once again: Private lessons and lifeguard training are NOT free!

There ARE Free Master's coaching/swim lessons classes that go from now into the month of June, and start up again in August/September are MWF 6-7:30am and TR 7:30-9pm.  There will be an instructor or two scheduled to coach the swimmers who show during these times.  Sometimes it will be me... sometimes somebody else.  I don't coach every session.  Of the Free MWF 6-7:30am and TR 7:30-9pm, the Free morning sessions tend to be more lap swimming and stroke improvement and the Free night sessions tend to be more like swim lessons.  Remember... the lessons and training are free for the MWF 6-7:30am and TR 7:30-9pm timeframes but you still have to purchase a pool pass for entry to the pool.

Too much water around here to not know how to swim.  Half of this area is water... if you are not on the water somehow, you are missing out on half of what is here in Tidewater Virginia.  Paddling, Swimming, Sailing, Motor Boating, SCUBA, Surfing, etc...

3/5 of the earth is covered by it.  Why limit yourself to exploring only 2/5 of it?

I have been known to be able to teach the unteachable!

Please call or text me if you have questions. [masked]

Is there a chance that you'll have the rescue/swimr/wfr trng an gain at a later date?

Sure, contact me Larry Watson on FB at www.Facebook.com/DuctTapeDocs I've got a lot of stuff going on. If and when I run an Emergency Medical Responder (First Responder) course, it will be in the next couple of months, because I would be training some local lifeguards for the beach season. If you are trying to be a rescue swimmer, a good first step would be to apply to be a lifeguard at VBLS in Virginia Beach, VA. Applications for the 2013 summer season are being accepted starting next Saturday, 23 March at 10am. Running test and swim test will follow. If you can't pass the ocean/surf rescue basic lifeguarding tests, it would be a waste of time for me to try to turn you into a Rescue Swimmer. Talk to me and tell me what you are trying to do/be and I can maybe guide you in the right direction.
