Dr. Jerome Hoffman, UCLA Medical School, “The relationship between physicians and the drug industry...begins the day you hit medical school...establishing relationship, establishing good feelings, and a dependency, and a sense of entitlement, that I work really really hard and no one is else is really nice to me, but these guys are really nice to me...We are all on the same side.  The side fighting against disease.”

Jeanne Lenzer, Investigative Medical Journalist, “...doctors started to telling me these stories about drug and therapies that they were prescribing,...they were horrified...they would find out that these therapies, one after another was actually causing more harm than good...in some instances killing patients...increasingly, of course, it shows pharmaceutical influence.”

"Money Talks exposes the questionable tactics that big drug companies use to make record profits by playing with the safety of our family's health care. Using misleading advertising, attractive drug reps who wine and dine doctors and other unethical practices, the drug industry makes billions of dollars every year selling us unsafe, unnecessary and overpriced drugs.

There are over 80,000 pharmaceutical sales people employed in the pharmaceutical industry in the United States alone. My understanding is that that is about 1 for every 4 doctors. Their job is to sell drugs. Their job is not to educate doctors. Their job is not to provide medical information. They have one job and one job only: to push their product particularly against other competing products. Doctors should not trust them to give them unbiased and accurate information about their drugs, and frankly, doctors shouldn't let them in their offices.

If you want to protect the people you love from their dangerous practices that compromise the safety and quality of our health care, Money Talks is a must-see film."  http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/money-talks-profits-before-patient-safety/

Meeting the folks from Rethink911.org in Times Square (47 and 7th ave) at 5:20 pm if anyone is interested. This from a recent email.

    Hello all,

Great news! The historic rally in Times Sqaure with Richard Gage, Cynthia McKinney, Richard Gage, Bob McIlvaine, Frank Morales, Tom Kiely, Lenny Charles, others will be live streamed beginning at 5:20pm EST. Please forward this to your contacts all over the country and abroad.

If you're in or near NYC, go to www.rethink911.org for full details on events beginning at Ground Zero at 8 am, culminating at 47th Street and 7th Avenue in Times Square. Scroll down for a the link on the left side. At this 12th anniversary we must take the opportunity to call attention to the fact that millions of people are aware of the blatant discrepancies proven by the alternative research and agenda for empire for which 9/11 was the catalyst. If we want to end war, demand justice for 9/11.

    PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

i am trying to change a doctor's appointment for 9/11 - what is the latest date i can let you know if i cannot make it ?

Hi Anne, Kindly update your RSVP when you know for sure or by 1 hour before start so I can set up the tables/chairs accordingly. You can arrive late if it works with your schedule. I don't expect the conversation part of the meetup to start until approx. 7:45 pm. Thank you. Hope you can make at least part of the meetup.

    Hi, Yen--
Have you moved up the actual screening of the movie from 7 PM to 6:45 ?? Although the 15 minute difference might sound trivial to some, it would make a big difference to me---As I indicated earlier, I am seeing patients in Bayside, Queens until 6 PM, and have no choice from that location but to drive into Manhattan where parking does not open until 7 PM. I would hate to miss the beginning of the film, and though I would love to attend, perhaps I should cancel to allow room for someone else. Please advise.
Either way, thanks so very much for organizing this!
    Sincerely,
    Jeff

Update: The actual date is still to be determined. The person who handles reservations for Stone Creek will be back from vacation this Monday. Most likely I will maintain the Wednesday night 7pm time slot because it appears that most people are willing to attend on the event based on the previous (erroneous) Wednesday 7pm event date. Kindly reply below to support or reject a Wed, 7pm event date (at least two weeks in advance). Thank you.
