Like to socialize your fur-baby/s or get out and be active with them? Here's a friendly place where our dogs can get together for fun and you can meet others that enjoy being active with their dogs too.
A Little Bit about our scheduled activities:
"Bark In The Park": Play dates [off leash] will be scheduled according to dog sizes at different locations that are fully secure or fenced. When a play date is scheduled, I will specify if it's a Small to Medium sized play date or Medium to Large sized play date. Occationally large could go into a small or visa versa IF THEY PLAY NICE AND ARE BEING SAFE. [Keep in mind a large dog that likes to wrestle while playing would not be appropriate to bring into a small dog play date, nor would I recommend a toy sized dog going into a large dog play date...it could be unsafe]. Play dates are open to any breed dog that will play-nice off leash.
"Romper-Room" Play dates. During cold months we will hold our play dates indoor at Canines Unleashed Doggie Day Care facility. This is a very spacious facility in Liverpool that we can rent for our group events. As long as we have at least 10 or more attending, it is a reasonable fee of $5/ per family. Everyone always has fun at this event. There are two sides to the play areas so small and large can play separate in a safe environment. There is a fully fenced outdoor space out back for potty breaks. We are thankful for the opturtunity to enjoy this beautiful facility with our pups.
"Wag/n Good Time": Walks are open to ALL sized dog/s or breeds that want to get out for exercise and fun together. Walks will be scheduled at different parks and places of interest in or around the Syracuse/Central NY area.
"Doggie Paddle'n": Paddling outings are open to any breed or size that want to go paddling with you on a kayak or canoe. [If you don't own a canoe or kayak we can schedule in areas where there are rentals and start slow to acclimate your pup/s to the boat and water. You will need to invest in a doggie life jacket unless your dog is a strong swimmer. We can talk more as doggie paddles are scheduled.]
"Come, Sit and Stay": Excursions will be scheduled occasionally through the year for those more adventurous individuals and their pets. Some thoughts on future excursions that will be scheduled would be camping and overnight trips to places of interest. Not all trips would require having a tent and roughing it, some we'd stay indoors at Yurts, lodges, hotels or hostels that are pet friendly. Excursions will usually be outside of the Syracuse area, most likely within NY State.
We encourage you to suggest ideas for future events or locations to hold them. When you join as a member you'll get email notifications and reminders of events on our calender. I encourage you to RSVP as you get emails regarding events, it's easy and only takes a minute.
Our group's name started as "Flat Faced & Friends", specific to flat faced breeds because my little frenchie, Lisette, inspired the creation of a meetup group. As it's progressed, Wilson, my greyhound inspired the addition of our leash walk outings and welcoming larger sized breeds to join in. Because the three of us love all breeds and mixes, our events are now open to all fun-loving dogs. Lisette enjoys getting out on my kayak so we're incorportating some paddling dates on our calander [seasonal]. We also are excited to add some fun camping dates [seasonal] for those of you that enjoy the great outdoors with your pups. Due to all the additions and in the spirit of having fun...we thought it best to just call it- "Dog Adventures"!!!
Please come out and join in our fun. My pups and I really enjoy getting outdoors, getting out to new areas and parks and meeting others that enjoy the same things.
