Package Management in .NET and the API Behind the New Power BI
Details
Summer is for vacations, trips to the beach, and awesome dotNet Miami presentations. We're ready to bring the heat this month with another great meeting. It's our honor to have Jen Underwood, Sr. Program Manager at Microsoft, in the house live and in person. Jen will show us Microsoft's new reporting platform, Power BI, and how we can use the new API behind it. We'll also have dotNet Miami developer, Rick Tuttle, show us the ins and outs of package manageemnt in .NET including NuGet, Chocolatey, NPM, and Bower. This is going to be another great meetup with the dotNet Miami family.
And as always we'll have prizes at the end of the meeting. In addition the O'Reilly e-books and Pluralsite memberships we'll be giving away a free copy of Resharper from Jet Brains!
The After Party is Back!
We're working out the details of the After Party. We'll send an update when we've nailed down the details. But it is happening!
Location
This month we'll be meeting on the campus of the University of Miami. We'll be meeting in the Memorial Building in room 314. We'll be in the same building as the Bill Cosford Cinema. If you plug-in Bill Cosford Cinema into your GPS that should get you to the right building. Take the elevator (or stairs) to the third floor and we'll be in room 314. You can park in any of the lots near the Cinema as these lots open up at 4 PM.
