Hosted by The Denver .NET Meetup Group
Details
In this session you'll learn about some of WCF 4.5's compelling new features. The session will start with a short introduction for anyone not familiar with WCF or who would like a quick refresher. Then we'll discuss configuration and how it's been simplified with default values, validation, and tooltips. You'll also learn how to modify proxy settings to take advantage of the new Task-based Async Support. Joe will show you how WCF can generate a single WSDL file and how to use the new Contract-First support. There will be coverage of portable class libraries and HttpClient for communicating with WCF Rest services. You'll also learn about the new Web Sockets support for both Web pages and messaging.
