Details
Join Grand Central Atelier graduate Allison parker (http://www.krop.com/allisonparker/) for this three-part Portrait Drawing Intensive.
In this three-session portrait drawing intensive, students will study the basic anatomy of the skull in order to create a more three-dimensional likeness of the model. Concepts will include basic composition and gesture to set up the portrait, identifying bony landmarks of the skull, creating a ‘block-in’ or detailed outline, and using careful shading to suggest the unique forms of the portrait. Students will learn to trouble-shoot their work using basic anatomy and perspective concepts, visual comparisons, and measuring. Students are encouraged to work in graphite and white chalk on toned paper.
