Let's make a summer wrap dress

This two week slot is Part One of our next sewalong: make a dress for summer. Work on your project at home and exchange ideas and tips with the others taking part in this. Please feel free to post photos or queries if you have any!

We thought it might be nice to make this a wrap dress for summer (no pressure there then!) so this can incorporate both a summer dress as well as any kind of wrap dress like for example the Walkaway Dress that we saw made up on the recent Sewing Bee.

Part One is all about preparing: get your pattern and fabric, pull out all the supplies you will need and make sure you have everything (do you need a zip, buttons, hooks and eye? Interfacing, bias tape, any other stabilizers?). I will probably make a bullet point list like we did for the Pick up a Project, that was really useful. We should do another one of those soon too!

Part Two will then be about cutting out and transferring all the markings to your fabric.
