Drum Circles & Hand Drumming, Acoustic Instruments, Vocals and Poetry reading for all levels, the aim being to provide an introduction to the percussion techniques and rhythmical systems of Central Asian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern music. These are informal and friendly sessions (Drum Circles) and we hope that in addition to learning about percussion, attendees will gain a more general insight into the music and culture that interests us. We are also experimenting with poetry reading and story telling using different musical instruments. There is a $10 charge for the use of the space and to cover expenses such as refreshments.
