The Chicago Drupal Meet Up Group is proud to present at least two featured presentations about the hottest Drupal topics each month. We have room for 75 people and all skill levels are welcomed. If you are brand new to Drupal we recommend attending one of our free monthly training workshops.

Maksim Pecherskly will be presenting....Feeds Module++....Feeds is a great module out of the box.  But it becomes even better with some custom code,  a sprinkle of configuration and just a dash of Drupal 7's queue magic.  Let's dive deeper into the code and structure behind feeds and look how you can build everything from a simple blog aggregator to a full on data importer. I will be describing my experience using feeds and Drupal 7's queue system and what I learned in the process.

Erik Baldwin will be presenting....Adaptive and Responsive Images....we will most go over the Adaptive Image Style modules and building responsive slideshows with Omega and Flexslider.

Almost every CDMUG presentation is recorded and now available online @ http://cdmug.org/videos

If you are not able to physically attend, join us virtually in our #cdmug IRC chat room on freenode. Members hang out in the chat room on a daily basis even when meetups are not happening. If you are unfamiliar with IRC view http://drupal.org/irc feel free to utilize our web based chat client @ http://cdmug.org/chat

All meetups will be in traditional CDMUG fashion. No dress code, relaxed attitudes, open ideas, laptop encouraged, remember business cards, and we will probably go for a beer afterward.

We really need a microphone to better hear the presenters. Maybe everyone needs to chip in for this? But it would make it easier to follow the presentations.

Excellent networking before and after the presentations. The preview of the public school website gave me some ideas I can use for a project I'm currently working on. I've been working with Feeds, and I just put together a Flex Slider slideshow last week, so those presentations didn't have anything new for me.
