I've putzed with Drupal since it was Drupal 5.0 in the learning process the whole time. Have graduated up to 7.0 and looking for 8.0 soon to come. Never confident enough with it to take a site to published state. I have about 8 sites but they're all handled in "maintenance mode" as I continue to learn and increase my knowledge and confidence. Love Drupal and its whole concept. Just wish I knew enough not to get stuck all the time. If you ever have closer meetups to Cary, IL, I would definitely attend. Maybe you could use me to sponsor a more local chapter for me and others here in the Cary area. I'd be willing to work on that with someone that would help me along the process of doing it. ;)
I don't rightly remember, that's how long ago it happened. I think it was something on my hosting site's Control Panel I saw and then began to research it and check books out of the library to find out more. I guess what interested me in it was the fact that it was free and that I could take it anywhere I wanted instead of using the templates made available to me that had to be re-written with my code anyways.
Not exactly but would love to do so. I'm always putzing with it but haven't built up the confidence to work it professionally although that is something I've always wanted to feel comfortable enough about to do it.
Yes, but as I said earlier, they are all mine and they've all been in mainentance mode. And have recently been taken down.
I try to.
Recently retired from 18 years of real estate, I've decided to delve deeper into my knowledge of Drupal and begin to generate income from this. However, all Drupal meetings are way too far out for me. I'm in Cary, IL and would love closer group.
