December Meetup at Southroads Technology Park

Greetings Fellow Drupalers,

We wanted to give everyone an early heads-up for the December meeting, to make it as easy as possible for you to plan on attending the meeting.

As always, everyone in the Drupal community is invited. Whether you’re a Drupal pro, a beginner, or just interested in the Drupal platform, everyone’s invited to come hang out, talk shop, and eat pizza. (Free, of course.)

For this month’s meeting, we’re excited to show off a demonstration of a new Drupal project, backed by the team at Connect-i. They have developed a powerful Learning Management System called “Opigno,” which is a full-fledged and open-source LMS designed with the user in mind. Built on the Drupal platform, Opigno is secure, stable, and takes advantage of the thousands of Drupal modules available.

Stacie Bender, our in-house trainer at Perigon Networks, has been diving into Opigno and will give a presentation on how the project works within the Drupal platform. She has used Opigno to build out a fully functional training platform for our own internal use, and will demonstrate how Opigno can be used by both administrators and educators, as well as trainees and students.

As always, we’ll also have...
• Free food and drink
• Spotlight on Drupal-related news
• Open discussion and promotion of any cool projects you want to share.

We hope to see all the familiar faces of the community, and hopefully some new ones, as well. If you’re not sure what Drupal is all about, feel free to come by and find out. All are welcome.

Thank you Stacie for a great presentation about Opingo and what it can do!

Thanks for coming, everyone. And a big thank-you to Stacie for putting together the great presentation on Opigno. It's always fun to highlight new Drupal projects, and we genuinely enjoy giving attention to a team that is obviously dedicated to the Drupal community.

For those who wanted to see it, here's a link to the feature article I wrote on Opigno, and the development team behind it. http://ow.ly/rHOPJ
