Drupal Meetup Bangalore - April 25, 2015

Hello Everyone,

We had a great turnout to our last meetup at Mindtree in White field. We spoke about D8 performance enhancements and How one can get started with community and Contributions.

We will be having our next meetup on 25th April at TCS office in Whitefield. The office is located in a restricted zone and all attendees are required to bring a valid Government issued photo id card. Further, any laptop that you bring will have to be declared at the security.

Session 1 - SEO for Drupal by Amruta Moorashillin

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a critical part of running a successful website and involves a lot more than simply updating some page titles and meta descriptions. Yet despite the importance of good SEO, many sites often lack essential SEO configurations. Additionally, out-of-the-box Drupal sites typically do not provide all of the tools and configuration options needed to implement SEO best practices.

In this session, we'll review SEO best practices relative to Drupal development and will show how you can improve your SEO with some relatively simple configuration changes. We'll also review a number of specific techniques and contributed modules that you can use to improve the way search engines see your site.

Session 2 - Being Part of the Drupal Community by Jaya

Understand what it is like to be a part of the Drupal community and the benefits that follow. Jaya will recount her story as part of the Bangalore's Drupal community and how it led her to where she is today.

Lunch

There will be an after meetup lunch at the food court in Park Square mall nearby. You are welcome to join for casual discussion during lunch. Expenses are to be borne yourself.
