Come on out for the last Philly PHP Meetup of 2011!We'll be discussing
MVC - the Model-View-Controller pattern ofsoftware architecture that's
used by many modern web frameworks andapplications.
Our host and sponsor for the evening is The

Doors open at 6PM for pizza and networking, and presentations start at 6:30.
We'll have three 15-20 minute presentations:
- Tim Lytle will open with an overview of the fundamentals of the
MVCarchitecture pattern and how it differs from other ways
ofconstructing web applications. He'll also discuss using the
ZendFramework as an example of MVC in PHP- Christian Willman will take
use the MVC patternin-browser to create flexible, maintainable, and
create powerful singlepage web applications (SPAs).- Greg Amaroso will
share his experience developing modules forActiveCollab, an MVC PHP
web app along the lines of the popularBasecamp groupware app.
We'll follow that with another half hour or so of open discussion,Q&A,
and general conversation. If you've got something you're workingon
you'd like to share, bring it along and show it off. If
you'restruggling with something, put it up on the screen and get some
ideasand off-the-cuff troubleshooting from the crowd.
We'll wrap up around 8pm, and the hearty will venture down the road
toTJ's in Paoli, home to one of the finest collections of beers on
tapin the area, where topics of PHP and craft beer are equally likely.
