Get Involved with Core Sprint, September 28 2013

Details
Why come
If you're like most Drupal developers, you've been telling yourself for months that you should start contributing to Drupal core. This sprint is your chance to get started with in-person training and mentoring from friendly, experienced core contributors. If you've already started to work on core, come meet other contributors, hang out in person, and work on manageable tasks in the Drupal core queue. The goal is to help you help with core.
Can't make it to Melbourne? No problem, we'll be setting up an IRC channel on the day. Join the channel and we can work out how best to involve remote people in the sprint.
Who it's for
This meetup is primarily targeted at experienced developers who would like to participate in Drupal 8 core development or are already doing so.
If have limited coding experience, have never created a patch or aren't familiar with using git this will mostly be a very challenging day. If this is the case we suggest you come along to our monthly Mentoring meetups instead until you are more experienced.
What to expect
We'll kick things off with a brief introduction, and then we'll help match people with issues that are right for their skill levels and areas of interest.
What to bring
An interest in Drupal contribution
A laptop with a Drupal 8 development environment
How to get set up
Don't have your development environment yet? No problem!
