Drupalcafe meets MediaMosa

  • One Shoe

The theme for the Drupalcafé of October 17th will revolve around MediaMosa. Chris Flink will aim the spotlight on their work with MediaMosa, while Frans Ward of the MediaMosa Foundation (created by SURF, which is the original driving force behind MediaMosa) will present their views on Open Source and how the MediaMosa Foundation continues to stimulate Open Source projects. Michel van Velde, founder of One Shoe and speaker at Drupalcon Prague, will also look back at Drupalcon 2013 and forward to Drupalcon 2014.

Chris Flink: “In my talk, I'll provide a short introduction to MediaMosa, but mostly I'll be showing how easy it is to add video functionality to websites. I'll be focussing on Drupal integration with views and the Media Module, which was discussed during Drupalcafé September.”

Michel van Velde: "Being at Drupalcon 2013 in Prague really inspired me and made me look forward to Drupalcon Amsterdam 2014. I will take a quick moment to inform you all about this upcoming event and how Drupalcon really helps to put the spotlight on both Drupal as well as on the people who make Drupal the great open source product that it is.

One Shoe is excited to host this Drupalcafé and we're looking forward to another enjoyable evening. The program will be;

• 17.00 doors open

• 17.30 presentation MediaMosa by Chris Flink

• 18.15 short views on Drupalcon by Michel van Velde

• 18.30 break

• 18.45 presentation SURF and Open Source by Frans Ward

    Shame, second time Drupalcafé is clashing with Amsterdam PHP (that one is regularly on the Third Thursday).

      That is a shame indeed. We weren't aware this is the case. We could perhaps try to make the 4th thursday "our spot". No guarantees though :-)

    Unfortunately I'm not in the country. But I would love to have a somewhat structured discussion about what or how we - as a local community - want to contribute to DrupalCon Amsterdam. Preferably some time soon, while DrupalCon Prague is still fresh in our minds.

      Hi iFrik! Good idea. Perhaps Drupalcafé november could revolve around Drupalcon, although I'm not sure how inspiring a presentation about Drupalcon as an event would be. But I can ask Michel van Velde (one of the co-hosters) if he could entertain a full Drupalcafé evening with this subject. Feel free to present yourself as a speaker as well.
