Hi there! This month we are moving to new venue, Anchor HQ, located opposite Hyde Park. There will be time for socialising, a presentation and a Q&A session for those needing help. Drinks and pizza will also be provided.

Drupal 8, REST and Javascript
Could the future of the Drupal theme layer be using RESTful Web Services and external Javascript frameworks instead of a sometimes bloated core theming system? Robert Caracaus will give a basic introduction to REST and AngularJS then walk through the still experimental steps of creating the tenants of a basic Drupal theme using these technologies. This will include using Drupal 8 core modules to expose API's and the basic usage of AngularJS and a few of its plugins to work with and massage data into a basic Drupal theme structure on an external site.
Mentoring and Q&A
Have a problem you just can't sort out? Need a bit of guidance on how to tackle a problem? Want a bit of help getting up and running with Drupal? Bring your laptop and your problem and we will do our best to sort it out. Robyn Stanley will be leading a mentoring and Q&A group at the conclusion of the first presentation.
