Hello folks! Hope you enjoyed a great weekend!

Many thanks for a wonderful response to the invitation for the November Meetup, we look forward to seeing you all at O'Reillys Irish Bar!

I would like to give you an update about this Thursday. From the Meetup.com website and Facebook, over 75 people have confirmed that they will take part in this week's event, over 50 people have said they might attend. I think we will have over 80 people which is great news for those who wish to meet new people and those who wish to catch up with expats they have met in previous months. Everyone benefits smile

Our venue at O'Reillys Irish Bar can easily accomodate this number of people and more but I should let you know that with many people it can get warm inside. Of course you need to dress warmly for the winter weather outside but also be prepared for a warm atmosphere inside the bar too wink I will arrive early to open windows that should help keep the room at a comfortable temperature.

I would like to inform you of another event that D?sseldorf Expat Meetup is helping to promote. Caroline from RhineBuzz has asked us if we could let our members know of the "RhineBuzz Funk & Soul Night" Friday 20th November, more information can be found through these links:

If you would like to attend I have 20 tickets to sell for this event, feel free to ask me if you wish to purchase tickets.

On a serious note, I would like to remind everyone at the meetup this Thursday (or anytime in any party, club or venue) to take care of their personal belongings such as bags, wallets or mobile phones. Theft does not happen often in Dusseldorf but a risk remains. Events like ours attract many people so there is a chance a person may be present whose motivation to attend is theft. Carry valuable items with you at all times or store them safely in the office or at home beforehand. If you are joining us straight from work you can ask staff at the bar if you could store expensive laptops, bags, coats or other valuables behind the counter.

Of course we want you to relax and enjoy yourselves! D?sseldorf Expat Thursday Meetup has been running successfully for over 3 years and offers all members an opportunity to meet people from across the globe who are working in D?sseldorf or surrounding towns and cities. If you are joining us this Thursday we want to thank you very much for taking time to join us! If you are a regular member we are very grateful for your support throughout the year smile

May we wish you all a great week and we look forward to seeing you this Thursday! Many thanks, all the best!
