Probabilistic Data Structures Are OZMM

Shu Chen (local genius wunderkind) will discuss the reasoning and implementation of two useful data structures (bloom filter and flower filter), both useful to big data applications, optimization, and impressing your colleagues.

Please note, this talk takes place in the 2nd floor conference room (a.k.a. the board room).  It's across the courtyard from the main (outdoor) staircase.

In case anyone is interested. Here's the link to the Manifesto for Software Craftmanship. Seth Ladd was from Kailua, I think he works at Google now on the Dart project.

I'm pretty excited that Shu is attending this talk. This should make it a lot more interesting.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
