E-Book Publishing is for anyone who wants to learn how to publish, promote, and sell an e-book on any topic. It will feature workshops and seminars on how to do it, as well as feedback and discussion groups to discuss e-book publishing plans, advertising and marketing campaigns, and sales strategies.
Today e-book publishing is the new quick and easy way to publish any type of book. It is growing rapidly, while traditional publishing has been on the decline, along with newspapers, as more and more readers turn to the Internet and other ways of getting information. There are many advantages to publishing your own e-book, since it will help to:
- Contribute to your credibility in your profession
- Increase your ability to promote yourself as a speaker, expert, and authority
- Earn you a high residual income through an automated system whereby readers order, pay online, and download your book
- Sell your book all over the world without the traditional shipping and shipping costs
- Set the stage for creating a POD book and purchase by a mainstream publisher
- Network with other e-book writers and publishers
The founder of the group is Gini Graham Scott, PhD, JD, who has published over 50 books with mainstream publishers including Random House, Warner Books, Contemporary, Perseus, AMACOM, and Simon and Schuster. She has published over 20 print-on-demand (POD) books, and has now published four e-books which are also POD books from ASJA Press. Her E-Book Publishing Company Website is being set up at www.e-bookpublishing.net; her first e-book is featured at www.findworkwithgini.com; her other three e-books will have their own Website shortly. Additional e-books will be introduced in the next few weeks. A Google ad campaign is in the works. Her own Website is at www.ginigrahamscott.com.
Besides consulting and speaking on writing and publishing books generally, Gini is now focusing on writing and publishing e-books and assists in writing e-books for others. She has specialized in writing books about improving work relationships and on professional and personal development.
She is also the organizer of four other Meetup groups, including the PR and Networking Connection, Film and TV Connection, Entertainment Industry, and LA Screenwriters.
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
