Digitizing Soweto

This group was started in Nov 2009 by Zanecebo Mchunu - a Business Relationship Strategist - after he started Soweto Internet Radio in 2008 - a digital media company. Now over a year he has gained a lot of experience and formed partnerships with companies to provide Wireless Telecommunications (Telephones and Internet) and Mobi Sites (Cellphone Websites).

The purpose of this group is to create a platform to network and share information about e-business/internet business strategies with people who use the internet for their businesses or for personal use around Soweto. Our aim is to ensure that the largest urban township in the world has affordable audio and data wireless coverage before it host the 2010 World Cup finals. We believe we live in an information technology Age, therefore it should be easy and affordable to start an e-business in and around Soweto. The latest trend is that the richest companies in the world are internet based companies from Microsoft to Facebook. If we must win the war against poverty and unemployment we have to encourage internet entrepreneurship.
