Title of talk - The promise of regenerative medicine
In the talk Ian will discuss the nature of the different types of stem cells, before describing the way in which basic research in developmental biology created a totally new approach to derivation of stem cells.
Ian will then outline three different ways in which stem cells can be expected to provide new treatments for diseases which at present have no therapy.
