Equipped for Life: Tackling the Unconventional Topics

Preparing students for life often requires equipping them with knowledge beyond traditional academic subjects. Let's come together for a panel discussion to take a look at some of the topics to which schools aren't always able to give full consideration--life skills, behavior & motivation, 21st century literacies--and how edtech companies are leveraging technology to bring them into the classroom.

We’ll frame the discussion around the following questions:

How does teaching “non-traditional” skills fill in gaps unaddressed by the prevailing emphasis on Common Core and STEM? How do we know these skills can/should be addressed by technology? How do we know these tools are working? What are the challenges in bringing these solutions to a market seemingly driven by assessments and standards? Panelists
