As a high-tech CFO since 1995, Mike has helped raise over $150MM in angel and venture funding in more than 60 different funding rounds and has managed mergers and acquisitions, contributing to companies that have created over $1B in wealth for entrepreneurs. Mike has sat on over 30 boards for public and private companies and advised over 100 startups. As an advisor, Mike focuses on funding strategy, corporate governance, go-to-market strategy, board and executive compensation, and contracts. He began his work in startups as a CFO where we served over 75 companies in that capacity. In his current role, Mike manages Atlas, the nation’s largest venture accelerator and advises startups. Mike holds BS from Syracuse University, magna cum laude, with majors in Finance, Personnel and Industrial Relations, and Managerial Law and a Military Science minor. He graduated at the top of his class with an MBA from Duke University, and is a winner of the US Army's George C Marshall award and was recognized as the top cadet in the Eastern US region.

Over the last 20 years, Dave's career success has included both product and service industries, selling both tangible and intangible products in the technology sector. These markets have included hardware, software, and wireless. An Alumnus of the University of Washington, Dave has been recognized by the World Technology Network for Innovation in the Software Industry, Forbes “Best of the Web” and the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 under 40”.
For the last 13 years he has held executive positions in software development, IT and professional services, software distribution and hardware companies. Companies have included Founder and CEO at License Online, Board Member roles for Classmates.com (sold to UNTD), Cauldron Solutions (sold in 2006), Digital Marketing (sold in 2004), and the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA). He was also an Entrepreneur in Residence at Mitsui & company IT investment group in Cupertino, CA, a $250M venture fund where he evaluated investments and was a board member and observer for portfolio companies. Dave has served as the Director of the Founder Institute Seattle since 2010. The program is designed to accelerate the launch of tech startups through a 15-week program. This mentor lead program has launched over 500 companies worldwide in 26 cities. His goal is to launch 40 companies a year in Seattle for the next 10 years.

He has extensive experience in both enterprise and consumer technologies. His career has spanned multiple industries and sectors including software, health care, productivity, education, investments and finance, and e-commerce. This experience comes to bear in his multifaceted role as CEO at Conceivian Startup Lab, as software architect, start-up mentor, business strategist, and trusted advisor in a variety of areas to a broad array of client businesses. Under his leadership Conceivian has built over a dozen Internet startups.
Earlier in his career, Saqib spent nearly 8 years at Microsoft in key technology and management roles. He later went on to found the Internet venture Metafos Inc., aimed at revolutionizing the payment systems industry. Metafos was later acquired by an Australia-based private equity firm. He also founded InCampus.com, which was widely recognized as a major step forward in social commerce systems for college students.
Saqib holds a B.S. in Computer Information Sciences from Minnesota State University. A voracious reader, Saqib is also an amateur poet, and is personally and professionally committed to building startups where he sees a convergence of social and economic interests.
