The event was great, but it could have had a larger potential. I only got to chat with 20% of attendees, most had no synergy with me.

I think the format can be improved, eg. ~50% of the people I met had no ideas to pitch yet time was spent them pitching a non-existing one. Also some groups had many great ideas that the overall crowd didn't hear because only one was nominated to present to all attendees.

    Suggestion to improve:
    1. Only people who want to pitch their idea should be asked to do that instead of forcing everyone to pitch.
    2. Make the pitch in groups of 4 instead of 2, that makes more efficient use of time.
    3. Nominate 2 or 3 from each table instead of one using the time saved from the above suggestions.

    4. Have more time for networking with the entire audience, there was very little time to know others who are not in my own group, sure there was interesting people I didn't meet
    5. Pair people with ideas with those looking to join a startup

Really great energy and support in the room. I was really nervous so appreciated the positivity and feedback, as a new comer. Great job!

The event could have been more organized. For example signing in wasn't as fluid as it could have been. It required three people by the looks of it when it needed only two. Each person has a registration list, with the reg list split between them by alphabet. People get their name badge once they are checked in. The question about our idea name could have been avoided when we answered that question when we sign in. The event itself also was too rigid. I think what would have saved the host's lungs and frustration is a bell. Pavlov's law of behavioural conditioning - we humans are fast learners!! There was a huge in balance at my table with business people and tech people. There was only 1 out of eight. There should have been a question when we RSVPd asking, Are you a tech or business person and then organized the tables based on that info so there would have been a greater balance.

Hi Eric, Please use the RSVP Questions to tell us whether you have or intend to start your own business - or if you are looking to join a startup. Your idea will then be the idea - or function/operations - behind your business or an idea of what impact you want to make in a startup.

Hi Bruce, I was looking over the event details - - are we supposed to indicate to you directly whether we're looking for business or tech, and whether or not we have an idea of our own?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
