Functional Programming Hack Night: Erlang vs Scala (with Prizes)

On November 7th, we will host a hack night as part of DC Week: http://digitalcapitalweek.org/

In this hack night, we'll have a head to head between Erlang and Scala! Bring your laptops with Scala or Erlang installed, come meet other Scala and Erlang developers, hack, compete, and get a chance to win some small prizes.

You don't know either Scala or Erlang, no problem. What's a better way to learn than to pair program with someone that knows these languages?

Food, drinks, and beers will be provided by our friends at Audax Health. If you know Scala developers, please let them know about this event.

ErlangDC Update

We have announced some of the speakers for ErlangDC:  http://erlangdc.com/

Do not forget to sign up for ErlangDC if you plan on coming. Tickets have been selling at a good pace and you don't want to be the one left behind without a ticket! Until thanksgiving, the prize is $40 which is a bargain for a half-day bootcamp, half-day conference.
