Hey everyone!

As part of our 2015 initiative to bring the European VR scene closer together, we will now use the central VREUR meetup page to also organize or announce the local and regional meetups that are happening all over the place on this side of the Atlantic.

First steps were and are the European meetups in Paris (PreEuropean (https://www.meetup.com/Virtual-Reality-Europe/events/222928263/)), Cologne (gamescom (https://www.meetup.com/Virtual-Reality-Europe/events/218698517/)) and Brussels (PostEuropean (https://www.meetup.com/Virtual-Reality-Europe/events/223148406/)), and the first local meetup to join the ranks is Munich on August 22nd at 5 pm in the office space of mantro.net. If you want to take a look at what interesting things mantro.net is brewing, you can find more info here: http://www.mantro.net/en

As a little appetizer for the meeting, check out this video of the Munich VR meetup #1, back at RE'FLEKT:

The event will take place on saturday evening, starting from 5 pm with an introduction, followed by talks and demo opportunities free for all (including Rift DK1, Rift DK2, Durovis Dive, Gear VR, Google Cardboard and more). The event itself ends at 9 pm, but if anyone wants to join philosophing about the future of VR later over a drink, we'll probably head somewhere after the event :)

If you want to hold a talk or can provide VR equipment, it would be great if you could send me a message and arrive at the venue an hour early (4 pm) to set up.

Looking forward to meeting all of you again!

Best,
Dominic
