HARO VON MOGEL, a Ph.D. candidate in plant breeding and plant genetics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, will speak on “Shades of Green: The Risks and Benefits of Genetically Engineered Crops.” He will discuss the science and the ethical considerations of growing and eating foods produced with genetic engineering. He will help make sense of the many claims being made on what is a hotly debated topic.
