Talent acquisition is the process of finding and acquiring skilled human labor for organizational needs and to meet any labor requirement. Company doesn’t just hire a person, but they acquire a talent as they acquire assets. It just means that people are vital and most integral part for the development of the organization.

The key outcome for this session is the ability for executive team to decide which profiles/candidates should be prioritized over the other; and how to accomplish productivity with the team as soon as the talent joins in.

After lot of backtracking and testing methods, Supreet Sethi has developed few rules of engagement on subject of hiring (especially tech hiring).

Supreet is a seasoned technology leader with an eye for detail. He has a proven expertise at charting out growth strategy for technology platforms.

In recent past, he has been building portfolio of services for Tokopedia which concentrate on Ecommerce product search and discovery. In this context, he internally helped refocus and create internal expertise on the Apache Solr, Elastic Search and AWS Cloud Search systems. With many of these services running out of AWS, there was immense advantage in integrating with AWS services like SNS, Elastic Load Balancer. This effort has produced fruits in form 6 times better conversion on search assets compared to any other part of the site.

During his stint at Jabong, he steered platforms team to create tools which drives the infrastructure. He often reviewed the code-base from a performance and correctness point of view. These aspects also puts me at helm of backend systems internally called Alice and Bob, APIs which drives mobile apps, mobile web and desktop site.
