Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival-NO HOST

I shot this festival last year and had a blast. It has a perfect venue at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Check out www.ladayofthedead.com. I am not setting a meeting time yet but wanted to let everyone know about this cool event.

I went from noon to 2:30 because I had to go somewhere. It was a little too hot, but not crowded. I didn't see any F-Stoppers. Haven't had time to look at the photos, but will post some soon.

I went, and never thought I'd make it back to the car. I was on my feet shooting until I couldn't stay anymore because: 1) I was exhausted, and 2) there was such a huge crowd by nightfall that there wasn't room to lift my camera to shoot. It was a photographer's delight.

Hi Everyone,
I changed this to "No Host" since there are so many people going and trying for everyone to hook up will just be too difficult. As I said before, I bought my ticket for the 12-4pm entry. If any of you want to find me, my cell number is [masked]. Don't be shy... call if you want to hook-up! Also, be prepared for having to walk a few blocks from the parking areas (check their web site). Last year, some time late in the day they had shuttles running but they took a long time. When I get there I will "check-in" on the meetup site.October 25

If you like bright colors and a opportunity to document a cultural experience, you will appreciate this venue. I have gone to this event for the last 2 years, and have always enjoyed myself. When people dress up and apply makeup, they enjoy being photographed, I recommend it to all photographers of all levels. It's great. See you there this year.
