Both. And don't underestimate rosé.
A bag of kettle-cooked potato chips, loud and crunchy.
Too many to choose from: Julep's, Edo's, Magpie, and Mekong. Among newer places, Heritage and Lemon impress me. Out of laziness I'm most frequently in Kuba Kuba, Ipanema, Lemaire, Strawberry Street, Harrison Street, Jamaica House, Amuse, and Joe's Inn. I believe I've tasted every black bean burger in town, but my favorite is still Cap Ale's, and not because it's only $2 on Mondays. Believe it or not, my favorite cooking is my own, and RVA's vibrant restaurant scene inspires me.
Hmm. That looks good—what is it?
It was a small group of smart people with varied interests. I was so relieved that no one spent the evening playing with a phone!
