In honor of Constitution Day, an annual commemoration of the formation and signing of the Constitution of the United States on September 17, 1787, the ACLU of Arizona is hosting a talk by Phoenix-based attorney and author Robert J. McWhirter.
In August, the American Bar Association published Mr. McWhirter’s most recent book, "Bills, Quills, and Stills: An Annotated, Illustrated, and Illuminated History of the Bill of Rights." On Friday, Sept. 18, beginning at 7 p.m., Mr. McWhirter will present "Just What's So Exceptional About America? Rights, People, and the Bill of Rights." His presentation will be followed by time for questions and a book signing.
