Dear fellow atheists, agnostics, humanists, freethinkers, and like-minded individuals,

Please consider joining or donating to the Foundation Beyond Belief Team for the Light the Night Walk. Foundation Beyond Belief (FBB) is a national charitable foundation created to focus, encourage and demonstrate humanist generosity and compassion. Its primary purpose is to focus, encourage, and demonstrate the generosity and compassion of secular humanists in the interest of a better world. Of these, our primary purpose is to encourage each other to embody the highest principles of humanism, including mutual care and responsibility. FBB will be the rallying point around which local freethought, atheist, and secular humanist groups will form teams to participate in Light the Night Walks.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk funds treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising cancer research anywhere. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is on the brink of incredible breakthroughs that have already begun to change the lives of thousands of patients; treatments that can manage a person's condition with a daily pill, therapies that seek out cancer cells and kill them, and the use of a patient's own immune system to eradicate cancer not someday, but today. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk funds those treatments.

In 2012, the combined efforts of all teams walking under the FBB umbrella raised $430,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the largest amount ever raised by a first year non-corporate team and the 4th largest amount raised by any team in the nation in 2012, including corporate teams! In 2013, their goal is to raise $500,000 toward cancer research.

The walk will take place on Saturday November 9, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Tempe Arts Park. For more information and to either sign up or donate, please visit our page: http://pages.lightthe...

Thank you for your support!
