LEARN TO SAIL, IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS, JOIN OUR SAILING CIRCLE!
Sailors of all experience levels are invited to come out to Fire Island and stay at the AMC Cabin at Atlantique, NY. Beginners: Learn to sail! Intermediate level: come get coaching to develop your skills. Small Boat (dinghy) sailing is a great way to build a foundation of sailing skills.
Have a "LEARN TO SAIL MINI VACATION" right here in NY! Weekend and midweek classes include 2 and 3 nights lodging and meals plus instruction and boats for $175 or $295, complete!
AMC Cabin is operated by Appalachian Mountain Club, a non-profit, volunteer conservation and recreation organization. That is why the sailing programs are so affordable!
The sailing program is led by a US Sailing Association Certified Small boat Instructor and uses US Sailing curriculum. The program has a fleet of 6 Sunfish and 3 sloops (daysailers)
Other activities include a Sunfish Regatta in July and sailing and social events are scheduled throughout the season. In the off-season members go on sailing vacations.
