Introduction

Greetings, I am Captain Michael Miller, a USCG Licensed Master and US Sailing Association Certified Instructor. I grew up on the water and have been sailing since 1978. I run the sailing program at the AMC Cabin on Fire Island. Hope you join us!

How long have you been sailing?

Started in 1978.

Do you like to crew on other's boats or do you want to run your own?

I've been captaining too long to trim other peoples' sails. I want my own deck under my feet!

Are you a hard core sailor, or a yacht club partyer?

Hard core! You have to pry me off a Sunfish!

How did you get interested in sailing?

Was always a power boater till I took a class while living in Puerto Rico, bought a boat, and never looked back!

What was your best sailing experience ever?

HMMM... Sunfish in 20 knts? Cruising in Belize, Greece, Croatia, British Columbia, Caribbean? This is a tough one!
