I like long books -- 19th century fiction, Russian novelists, combinations of science and literature/humanities. I also like current books on timely topics. Recently enjoyed Picking Cotton, the UNC book choice. Am reading a bio of Toqueville.
Perhaps we might pick a genre, a topic and ask folks to bring an interesting book. I enjoy hearing what others are reading and what they think about it.
Week nights -- not Friday, Sat, Sunday.
Here I am well past retirement age -- still working away. I'm a voracious reader and enjoy book clubs because of the different perspectives people bring and the way personal experiences are woven into the book's theme.
Light but choice attendance
