'Lore' is from the Old English word 'lar' meaning "learning, what is taught, knowledge, science, doctrine; art or act of teaching," and 'occult' means "hidden, concealed, secret". LORE hosts free-to-attend public discussions, workshops, and field trips on a range of topics that fall into the original meaning of 'occult', defined as "not apprehended by the mind, beyond the range of understanding." Together we share stories, books, myths, occult research, and the company of friends.
