Food is a truely interconnecting force.  It provides us with nutrition, it connects us to others, it fuels our economy as well as our politics.  Because of food's power, it can build us or destroy us.  In this boookclub, we will discuss the many implications of food and wellness.  We will discuss the politics of food, as well as the health benefits of food using an evolutionary approach.  We will also discuss other topics of wellness using this approach.

The local food movement has risen greatly in the past ten years, due largerly to books such as The Omnivore's Dilemma.   As it has grown, so have movements such as the Westen A Price and Paleo diet.  We will discuss the connection between ancient diets and locovorism, politics, culture, sociology, and environmentalism.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
