Re: [freemasons-8] Special Notice Group: Special Invitation: For our group to Share our Meetup Story (yeah or neh)??

Well, you know how I feel.  I don't see anything wrong with sharing our Meet-Up story, when there are parades in cities all across America with Masons marching in them as a body, and ads being played in the movies during the coming attractions - there's even a billboard ad in NJ.  It's a rare opportunity for us to have some control over how the public sees us, and how often do we get free good publicity, for those who believe that publicity is an objective?

I think we should participate, but I also think that whoever speaks to the video camera better know what the heck they're talking about.  And first on the list of things to know is that no one can define or speak for Freemasonry; we can only speak to our understanding and experience of it.

Wow GOT some exciting news :  meet-up is interested in our group creating a video story for the NY Freemason and Eastern Star meet up group.

Please be sure it's cleared with your bodies.  I am thinking 2 brothers and 2 sisters  one main person explaining our group.

Some slight footage from a meet-up event?

This is not set in stone , they will pick the best digital videos and use that in there marketing campaign which I think will bring in even more possible members.

Should we participate>?

Special Invitation: Share Your Meetup Story

Dear Michelle,
We love meeting Meetup organizers! We especially love hearing your stories ? about how your Meetup started and grew, or about the impact it has had on your life and on your community.
We think your stories are so wonderful that we want to help you share them with each other...and the world! So we're planning a new Stories section of the website that will feature your Meetup stories on video.
To get us started, we need your help. Just create and upload your Meetup video story in the next few weeks. We'll pick the best stories to feature in the new section when it launches.
View sample videos, instructions and helpful tips here.
It's easy to create a video story ? all you need is a digital camera and a great smile :).
