About us
We love French and French Culture. We are friendly and fun loving Francophiles. We have a faux Constitutional Monarchy and every leadership team has got a nick name:) Make sure to meet La Dictatrice, Le Dictateur, Le Co-Dictateur, Ministre de Publicite, La Première Dame, Monsieur le Dictionnaire, Ministre de l'Agriculture and Le Sous-dictateur/le Sommelier. If you want to get a nick name, stick with us, show-up on every event and give a hand.
In order to help you practice French, we created different events :
1. Weekly Meetup :
Share a glass of wine with lively and intelligent French conversation from 6-7 pm Thursdays at the United Church, 1920 G St. NW DC. The cost is $5/meeting. Dinner afterwards is optional.
2. French Conversation Classes
We offer classes at all levels - please refer to our calendar.
3. Other events
We also organize wine tasting, picnics, and movie viewing. We'll keep you posted!

The closest metro station is Woodley Park/Adams Morgan.
Street Parking might be a challenge. But if you plan to drive, try your luck on Champlain Street. Otherwise, there is a parking garage around. We highly recommend a shared ride or taxi service.

GRAB A DRINK AND YOU ARE ALL SET TO FLEX YOUR LANGUAGE CAPACITY. YOU NEED TO GET AT LEAST A DRINK OR FOOD :) To get the event going and show support. We know that you like our events. P.S. : We have non-alcoholic drinks as well.
We have a tiny venue and we hit capacity often and early arrival is suggested.
We have the discretion to decide entry.
This is mainly a social for Intermediate/Advanced/Native Speakers. It is not as such to learn a language. Beginners, if you want to learn a language, reach out to us (info@merevents.com). We have a school and will arrange you a class.
